Students accepted to this programme are eligible for the A*STAR Pre-Graduate Award (PGA) being proposed to students in Year 2 of their undergraduate Chemical Sciences Programme.

To qualify for award of the A*STAR Pre-Graduate Award, candidates must :

• Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents or Nationals of ASEAN
• Have attained at least a CAP of 4.25 at the end of year 1 of their studies
• Undergo selection interview and/or pass selection test(s) at the discretion of the selection committee.
• Enrolment into this scheme is conditional upon the student undertaking PhD studies at NUS or overseas upon graduation and seeking scholarships for their graduate programme in the following order of preference
  
  1. A*STAR Graduate Scholarship;
  2. A*STAR NSS - Overseas Graduate Scholarship
  3. NUS/NTU Research Scholarship.
     
• Applicants from other ASEAN countries may accept the awards on the understanding that they will apply for and take up citizenship if offered A*STAR scholarships for their graduate (PhD) studies
